A story worthy of its own soundtrack
Throughout the entire sell and build process we were dealing with the alternate storyline of some piano drama. It was a great day when the new (to us) piano was brought in and Dana and the kids could get back to praising, playing and practicing in our new living room.
Bo knows
Baby Bo explains the work that went into the balcony rails and posts. Some of the door trim, lighting, and timber framing in the living room can also be seen.
Burn baby, burn
A Pacific Energy Summit Classic pedestal wood-burning fireplace is installed to offset the propane heating bill. Heats the living room and attic beautifully, but it hasn’t been too cold yet to really give it a go.
Window trimming
Once the scaffold was out of the living room, the stepladder moved into place to finish building out the windows and trim. Lots of windows on this wall = lots of monotonous trim.
Highlighting
A bit of a precarious task: a solo install of the (pretty heavy!) living room chandelier. Restoration Hardware Camino Vintage Filament Round Chandelier 50″
Taking shape
The main windowed-wall of the living room’s cathedral design nears framing completion.
