First load with the tractor, taking 11 bags of cement to the shed in the bucket. Already worth its weight in gold! (Or cement)
Footings poured. Plenty of drama you’ll have to ask about in person, but looks like mission accomplished!
A relatively flat hole. Time to mark the step footing locations.
Michael down in the hole the morning of the footing pour.
Beginning to lay out the footings. These will be complicated I feel.
Chip walking along the top of the ridge.
The forms are stripped from the footings as the sun sets on another long day.
Foundation hole is dug, including cut-outs for the front deck post footings.
Step footings are dug out. With a walkout basement you have to step down a max of 24″ at a time, with 4′ in between each step. Makes for some fun digging and forming!
