Grime-time
Chip helps put together a vanity for the basement bathroom. We used some leftover timbers for the vanity top and iron pipe for the base.

A cedar daybed I made for Dana for her birthday. When there are so many pieces of wood lying around and tools and saws of every kind all over the place, it’s easy to build and hide a birthday present in plain sight.
An eroded ravine + scraps = A sweet fort.
Chip helps with the fencing on the chicken coop. Because nothing beats building a chicken coop when you’re trying to finish a house.
Just before sunset the boys and I stopped at the end of a local road to do some exploring. Pretty neat to find this little ravine so close to our new home.
Milly burying some treasure for her brothers to find (a root beer can, she drank the root beer first).
Dana moving a pile of lumber with the tractor.
Mike and Ben stand on deck while I lift the BBQ up to the top in the backhoe bucket.
I took a break from other projects to build a pin board for the dining room for the kids’ art and school projects. Paint colour for this and all trim in the house is West Highland White by Sherwin Williams.
Milly helps Chip bolt together some deck beams, while NEVER ONCE COMPLAINING. Actually she really did enjoy it and did a great job.
